Healthy Snacks

Hey guys...
So today I thought I would share with you my favourite healthy snacks. Recently my skin has been not as good as I would like, so I have decided to start eating and drinking a bit more healthy to see if it helps. This blog post will include drink and food ideas.

The first idea is a drink. This drink is called detox water. Most people will use this drink to loose weight, reduce bloating etc. however it can be used just to make flavoured water. I don't drink lots during the day and the only way I feel I will drink more is having flavoured water. I love lemon and lime flavoured water, so I decided to try and make my own. There are lots of recipes online, however this is just a simple one that I thought of. (Although to be honest with you, I'm pretty sure I'm not the first person to think of doing this)

The first thing I did was cut the lemon into circular pieces so they would be able to go into the glass I will use. I also made sure to keep them thin. (Sorry for bad quality on this picture)

I then got a pint glass and filled it up with cold water ready to put the lemon in.

Then I just put all the lemon pieces I cut up into the glass and put it in the fridge overnight.

Substitutes-
If you wanted to make a change to this here is what you can do:
You could start of with a flavoured water that you bought and then add more
You could change the fruit added
You could add more fruit
You could add honey
You could use a proper fruit infuser bottle

My second healthy snack idea is a food one. This one is melted chocolate and fruit. It's a classic, simple healthy idea. So I will admit that this isn't the most healthy idea however, is it really just me that eats most of the fruit with barely any chocolate because I what the chocolate on its own after and it makes me feel more healthy! Anyway here's how to do it:
Get a bar of chocolate and use about 1/4 and break it up into small pieces.
Put the chocolate into a bowl and place in the microwave for 20 seconds, keep doing this until melted and make sure that you keep mixing it inbetween each 20 seconds.
Once the chocolate is melted, I cut up an apple into thin pieces. (I can't have thick pieces because of my braces)

Substitutes-
If you wanted to make a change to this here is what you can do:
You could you grapes, banana or any other fruits.
You could use peanut butter instead of melted chocolate
You could use chocolate that has bits of nuts and/or fruit in it (I don't know what will happen if you use this as I have never tried this)
You could use more than 1/4 of a chocolate bar or you could use less

Thank you for reading, I hope you all enjoyed it. Please let me know if you try any of these out yourself. Also please comment down below if you would like a part 2 and if so leave any suggestions of healthy snacks for me to try/show you how to do.
